Summer hours, 8am-afternoon for camps. Pay Rate: Based on education and experience Special Certifications or Requirements: Bachelorís degree in Education or related field preferred. Prior experience working with Youth and Teens. Experience working with multicultural programs preferred. Job Duties: Assist the YMCA in the development and implementation of multicultural programs which focus on building mentor relationships, career development, and other duties as outlined in the Youth and Teen Department. This position will directly supervise the West Youth Zone. This position will collect data on program participants and programs and stay current on Youth and Teen trends. |

Horeb Youth Center Days & Hours: AmeriCorps members commit to completing 1700 hours between September 1 and August 31 of the following year. Members complete a majority of these hours at their host sites. Members must be available on Friday mornings until 2 PM to attend trainings and member meetings. Job Duties: Partners for After School Success (PASS) is an AmeriCorps program consisting of 15 organizations operating in schools, community centers and youth resource centers in Madison, Mount Horeb, Oregon, and Stoughton, Wisconsin. Responsibilities will include: development and implementation of youth programs, homework help, community service projects, supervision of youth in a variety of settings, and some record keeping.AmeriCorps programs also emphasize the membersí professional development and understanding of citizenship. To this end, PASS provides members with numerous trainings in career building, civic engagement, and youth work. PASS also encourages members to gain professional experience by participating in organizations such as the Youth Resource Network and the Wisconsin Afterschool Network. |
