Combining Pilates, Yoga & Cardio

PiYo ™ is a music-driven athletic workout, inspired by Pilates and Yoga.  The class includes flexibility and strength training, conditioning and dynamic movement within choreographed routines, and emphasizes focus, flow and fusion to challenge strength and enhance balance training. 

A Typical Class

PiYo ™ delivers the muscle-sculpting, core-focused benefits of Pilates along with the flexibility and power of yoga.  PiYo's ™ low-impact compound exercises engage multiple muscle groups at the same time - while keeping your body in constant motion. As you progress from one fluid movement to the next without rest, you'll maintain an optimal heart rate. Expect a low-impact, high-intensity, total-body workout, without jumps, weights, or stress on your joints.

Tips & Preparation

  • New to class? Arrive a little early so our instructor can give you some pointers
  • Unhurry yourself. Arrive 5 minutes early to set up your mat. You'll feel more relaxed
  • Prepare to sweat

Equipment, Attire & What to Bring

  • Yoga mats are provided or you can bring your own
  • Come to class dressed and to move your body
  • Tighter-fitting, flexible exercise clothing made of breathable material to allow air flow
  • Sweatshirt or warmer layer for the relaxation portion (optional)
  • Water, towel
