Trains at Lussier Family East YMCA

My philosophy
I graduated from UW-Madison with a BS in Actuarial Science.  After years in the consulting industry, I wanted more from a career where I could help others more directly.  The joy I get from exercising, sports, and being fit led me here!  I became a certified personal trainer and began working at the YMCA in Louisville, KY.  In 2007, I came back to Madison and joined the East Y team.  While here, I’ve had the chance to work with a variety of members – from kids in the KidsFit program, to veteran fitness junkies in fitness classes, to seniors who may be entering the Lifestyle Center for the first time. My own fitness journey has evolved.  Now, as a mother of two, getting time to exercise isn’t what it used to be. You may face a similar time-management struggle – which is why I try to get the most out of every workout, whether working with a member one-on-one or with a team in a group fitness class. My approach is to tailor each workout to your level, your situation and to meet your fitness goals, while incorporating cardio, strength, and balance into your routine.  I’d love the opportunity to meet you and hear your story.  No matter what phase of your fitness journey you’re in, it would be a privilege for me to help make it your best journey yet!
