If you are unable to pay the full cost of a YMCA of Dane County membership, you may apply for financial assistance at each branch. Financial assistance is supported in part through contributions to the Annual Campaign.

We give over 27,000 members throughout the year a sense of belonging and provide the tools, support and skills to live life to its fullest. Over 25% of our members receive financial assistance which translates 7,300 recipients learning to promote healthier decisions and growing physically, intellectually and spiritually.

WHAT IS THE Annual Campaign?
The Annual Campaign raises funds so that all may participate in the YMCA regardless of their ability to pay. Members, staff and the community at large can participate by making a direct gift, participating in fundraising for the program or volunteering for special events. YMCA Membership and Program financial assistance opens up a world of YMCA programs to you and your family. The YMCA is a place where you can grow strong in mind, body and spirit.
IS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE AT ALL YMCA OF DANE COUNTY BRANCHES?
Yes, financial assistance is available at every branch of the YMCA of Dane County. You are welcome to use more than one branch for programs and activities.
HOW LONG WILL THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE CONTINUE?
Need for financial assistance is reassessed annually depending on the situation and is based on the calendar year.
HOW WILL THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AMOUNT BE DETERMINED?
We have a fee scale, based on total household income and number of dependents, which assists in determining the amount of financial assistance you qualify for. We also consider special circumstances such as medical expenses or loss of employment.
